I just received this in a Facebook message.
“ur welcome! and hey - seems like ur having a pretty rough time, so wanna send a smile ur way. in all that you say and do, charlie, remain encouraged. it’s clear to me that people truly admire and look up to you, and while many may compliment you for having a beautiful body, i think you have a beautiful heart. there’s an old proverb that says that the greater your suffering, the greater your destiny. from some of the things you write, i get the impression that you carry a heavy heart and that you’ve been searching a long time for your happy place - a place of true inner peace, a place where your spirit sings, a place you can call ‘home’. wherever that is, and however long it may take to get there, i wish you the absolute best of joy, love and good-fortune along your way.
whether you realize it or not, you are a gift to the world and to humankind. and i believe in you to do great and amazing things with your life. i dare you to dream. i dare you to look at yourself in the mirror and see the beautiful man that you are. i dare you to hope for a bright and magnificent future. i dare you to love.
take care of yourself, man. and just so u know, my only motive here is to make u smile and lift your spirit, because i believe that through love and compassion, we can change the world and begin the healing of humankind. i’m sure you get enough compliments about your body, but i figured you’d appreciate knowing that you’re actually ‘seen’ for who and what you are. if i, as a stranger, am inspired and touched by your life, then imagine the impact you can make on the rest of us. the world is waiting…
remember to love God, love your brothers, and above all, love yourself. best to you, kid
“
It made me sad.
